Ditch the box and learn the art of fresh pasta-making at Osteria Morini. Executive Chef Ben Pflaumer will lead hands-on classes teaching all levels of pasta making, from dough forming to hand forming shaped pastas, stuffed pastas to sauces. The classes are followed by a 3-course lunch, where attendees can enjoy the fruits of their labor, along with some additional items prepared by Chef Ben.

Women’s March on Washington 2018

On January 20, 2018, women and allies will once again take to the streets of the nation’s capital to make a powerful statement to the current administration and the rest of the world. In a follow-up to the largest demonstration in U.S. history, people from across the country will meet at the Reflecting Pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial at 11a.m. where March Forward Virginia will host a rally showcasing several speakers followed by a march on the White House.


Now in its fourth year, Ice Yards has become the event of the winter season, with revelers enjoying an unparalleled afternoon in DC’s only adult-friendly winter wonderland. This year, the event finds a new home on The Yards boardwalk. Back by popular demand are icy cocktails and local DC brews, interactive ice activities, live music, and more.

NSO Pops: Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds

Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds joins the NSO in a world-premiere orchestral collaboration over two unforgettable evenings. His award–winning, multi-faceted career includes the consecutive multi-platinum landmark albums Tender Lover, For the Cool in You (including signature hits “Never Keeping Secrets” and “When Can I See You”), and The Day (“Every Time I Close My Eyes”). The 11-time Grammy Award® winner’s latest album, Return of the Tender Lover, introduces a freer, less structured Babyface, putting his stamp on a contemporary sound he describes as “unapologetic R&B.”

Parents are required to stay with their children during this event.
Parents are not required to skate and may observe from the rink perimeter.



DC’s interactive art gallery is launching a new exhibit this weekend by Turkish art studio Ouchhh. Parallel Universe will put you in the eye of the storm with geometric 3D motion mapped projections and light installations that draw inspiration from science, math, and astrology. The hypnotic display is not recommended for those with epilepsy or other related conditions.
